Previously, in my Livejournal, I gave you my Ships of the Noughties and Twentieth Century Ships lists. Well, a decade has passed since my Noughties list, a decade full of romantic, fun, heartwarming, and occasionally heartbreaking new ships for me to enjoy. So I have a new list to present for your reading pleasure.

As usual I found myself with far more potential couples than I could possibly include and so I may have gone slightly overboard with the honourable mentions list. I just couldn't bear to leave any of them out!

Once again I am not doubling up, so Mulder/Scully, Grissom/Sara, Tony/Ziva, Michael/Sara, Booth/Brennan, Barney/Robin, and Chuck/Sarah are not included because they're already on my Ships of the Noughties list. Although I was tempted to treat Prison Break's return like a new show and include Michael/Sara again, mainly cos when I wrote the first list Michael was supposed to be dead but it turns out he wasn't. (Shocking, I know...)

Anyway, here is my Ships of the 2010s list. Starting with the ones who didn't quite make the final cut:

Friday!

It's finally Friday! Yay! I'm completely worn out from this week at work and am very much looking forward to two days of doing absolutely nothing but building jigsaw puzzles and watching Leverage. I had been thinking that I should be productive and do some gardening this weekend cos the plants are getting a bit out of hand, but then the sky decided to open and a ridiculous amount of water decided to rain down upon us today so that's probably not going to happen. What a shame.

It is a bit of an abrupt change in weather though. It was lovely and sunny yesterday. I went outside to take my picture of the day and ended up making friends with the neighbours' cat. He was walking up our garden and I thought he would run away when he saw me, but he came up and rubbed his face against my hand and let me stroke him while he rolled around in the sun. It was very sweet. I hope he's somewhere warm and dry at the moment.

So yes, my plan for this weekend involves watching a lot of my latest binge-watch, Leverage. After watching through The Mentalist twice in a row I thought I should probably go for something else before cycling round a third time! Leverage came highly recommended by someone on Tumblr, although it has taken me a long time to actually get around to watching it. At first I was a bit unsure, I thought it was ok but not great, but I'm loving it more and more as it goes on. So far I've avoided reading fic for it but I'm sure it's only a matter of time before I get sucked into that too. Especially since the show has two couples that I'm shipping equally at the moment - Sophie/Nate and Parker/Hardison. I'm also being very good at avoiding spoilers so far and hopefully that will continue.

Right, well, my running is going nowhere fast. It's looking more and more like I'm going to be walking this 7k in May! Hopefully I'll be able to get back at it soon though. I haven't had much of a chance lately cos I've been getting more hours at work, which on the one hand means more money (yay) but also means less free time (boo). And rather than allocate what little free time I have to sensible, healthy things like exercise, I'm instead choosing to spend it all on The Mentalist.

Ah, yes, The Mentalist. My newest obsession. Some people are able to just watch a show and enjoy it for what it is, but not me. Oh no. I have to latch on to my favourite ship (Lisbon/Jane naturally) and just go to town reading as much fic as I can about the two of them! It's a different situation to my usual obsessions though cos this time the show is actually finished, which means I've got to be careful about what I read so as not to spoil myself. I'm quite amazed at how little I know about what happens and I hope to keep it that way. (While there is one major event that I do know about, I have no idea of the details of how it gets to that point or even anything more specific than the fact that it happens.) I'm about halfway through season two now, so I've still got a bit of a way to go!

As for my other New Year's Resolutions, the photography is coming along. I'm managing to take a photo a day and haven't yet run out of ideas. I have a new batch that I need to upload to Flickr and post here at some point soon. Of course I also still have to finish my Canada posts, cos I still have a couple of those left. I should probably do that before my memory fades and I can't remember what the photos are of, but as we all know I am the Queen of Procrastination so it may be a while.

(And the less said about my third Resolution, the better. I've managed to finish one book so far and am not making much progress on any of the others!)

It's been a while since I've made a post about TV shows and with quite a few of them coming back this month this seems like a good time to talk about what I've been watching recently...

Potential spoilers ahead...
