Hello, October!
Oct. 1st, 2024 07:13 pmIt's October, which means it's the start of Spooky Season. To celebrate I have changed my LJ theme as well as my bedding. Yes, I have put the Halloween duvet cover on already. All of October is Halloween so all of October should have Halloween bedding. Of course this does present a problem for when I have to change my sheets during the month since I only have one set. One option would be to wash, dry and replace the same set on the same day. Another option would be to buy a new set of Halloween bedding so I can alternate between the two. Guess which I went for!
In other news, I went to the Farnham Food Festival on Sunday. I was wandering around looking at the stalls when I ran into Emma and Sarah Jane, so I spent the rest of the time with them which was really nice. I bought some really interesting sounding pies, fruit wines, shortbread (original, chocolate, and coffee), cheese, brownies, and fudge. I also had some Turkish flatbread and a glass of rose prosecco while there:
Speaking of food, I have had my first Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season!
The guy on the till called it a Pumpkin Spicy and I love that.
As you can see, I was sensible there and decided to get it without cream.
So of course I had to go for cream the next time!
I also went blood doning last week and decided to reward myself with double pumpkin:
(The brownie wasn't actually pumpkin flavoured but it looks pretty!)
And I've brought out the pumpkin mug I bought last year and shall be using it for my hot drinks at home for the rest of the month. Some might say I have a problem, but I just really, really love autumn and Halloween!
