I spent £103 in Blackwell's today. That's right, one hundred and three pounds. *makes pathetic noises* I bought four books for my course and decided that if I was going to be spending money on that I might as well buy some for myself. And you know what, the four books I got for myself cost about the same in total as one of the books for my course. Academic texts are really overpriced.

But now, for something completely different, I am going to have a poll. Yes, a poll. I have had a paid account for five months now and have never actually done a poll. So here we go, this is based on my Religion and Film class earlier and is about Jesus Christ Superstar. I bet you've got that song in your head now, haven't you? Well good, because here is the question:

[Poll #668397]

See, I have found that most people will happily belt out that first bit, but have no idea what follows so I want to see if that's true here. And looking it up is cheating, but I'm sure none of you would do that anyway.

So... I'm going to guess that "Jesus Christ Superstar" is the first line.

Yeah...I originally had that as part of the question but thought it sounded better without it.

academic books are horrible and expensive - the great thing about a lit degree is all your academic books are really cool too...

That must be an advantage. I doubt I'll ever look at these books after the course is over.
