Wednesday Woes

I woke up this morning to no heating or hot water and the boiler flashing an error message.  I called the plumber as soon as they opened and he was able to come round soon after midday, which was good.  He replaced the gas filter and it's working again for now, but apparently the circuit board is also misbehaving and the whole thing is 15 years old so it's probably best to get a new boiler.  He's going to send me a quote and I'm sure it's not going to be cheap.  He also talked about new piping and whether I wanted it to go around the outside or along the inside of the house.  I went for outside cos I don't really like the idea of drilling holes into my nice new kitchen!

Also today I had to call my bank cos I used my credit card on a bad site.  I'm annoyed with myself for falling for the link that was sent to me, but in my defence it looked like like it came from the hotel I'm staying at next weekend.  The return email address was correct and it knew all the details of my stay.  Fortunately I had to confirm payment on my banking app and it was clearly dodgy so I cancelled it, but by that point they already had my card details.  I emailed the hotel and they said they had other reports of this happening, so it looks to me like their system was compromised. 

Now I'm waiting for the third thing to go wrong.  The oven was being weird earlier and I'm a bit worried it's going to take on that role, but I really hope not!
