It's my birthday and I am the Answer!  The Answer to the Question of Life, the Universe, and Everything!  Yes, I am 42!  

And it's my first birthday in my new house!

Three jigsaws, a jigsaw necklace, and an Amazon gift card to buy more jigsaws.  Do you think Mum thinks I like jigsaws?

The Classy Old Bird card is from Emma, who did not get me anything jigsaw related but did take me out for a meal in Farnham a few days before I moved, which was lovely.  And I do plan to make a post about it soon.

Actually, I'm wrong to imply that I only got jigsaw-related presents from Mum.  She also gave me a separate present:

A tool kit for the house!  

We spent much of today playing the board games that I packed late enough I was able to find them again easily!  Firstly we played Downton Abbey, which Mum won, and then we played Kings & Queens Monopoly, which I won.  So that works out nicely.  Except it's my birthday so I should really be the one winning things!  Apparently the F1 predictions game understood this and I got the most points for today's race, so that's something at least.  

For tea, we of course had birthday cake:

Also, I've ordered pizza from a nearby Italian restaurant that I've never been in but looked interesting when I walked past.  Hopefully it'll be good!  

And I can't finish this post without my traditional epic poem of birthday brilliance:

Raise a glass and raise a toast

For this year only I can boast

That in my age I do contain

The answer to that old refrain

The question all the people sing

The meaning of life, the universe, everything.
