Guess what? 

What?  

I HAVE MOVED HOUSE!  

Yes, finally, nearly three years after we first decided we seriously wanted to move, it has actually happened.  My offer on this house was accepted exactly five months ago and the weeks between then and now have been super stressful and seemingly never ending, but we are finally here!   Sometimes it still doesn't feel real!

So far I've set up various utilities and changed my address on the important things, but I still have a lot to do.  An engineer came this morning to bring us the gift of fibre so we're able to get proper internet again and no longer have to rely on the terrible mobile backup.

I've also been spending money buying new furniture because we left a lot behind (including my ancient bed!) and I want shiny new things for my shiny new house, although I did opt to buy some of the bits that the previous owners left behind and I'm glad I did cos this kitchen table is lovely.  I've ventured out to the local shops a few times but haven't gone into town yet.  I really should do it some time because I want to pick up some things for my trip to Spain in a couple of weeks.

Yes, I'm going to Spain in 12 days.  It being so close isn't ideal, but the whole buying/selling process took so much longer than I hoped it would.  At one point I was worried it wouldn't happen at all before I left and we'd be moving in October!  But the good thing is that now we're here, Rob is close enough to pop in and see Mum regularly so she won't be on her own the whole time I'm away.
