Jigsaw Joy

I have glasses again, huzzah!  I do feel like they aren't as clear as my previous ones, which only makes me more worried that I got my eye test wrong.  Or maybe I just feel like they're less clear because I'm worried I got my eye test wrong.  Still, it's a definite improvement on not having any.  

It's Lunar New Year today so I did Mudpuppy's Chinese Zodiac jigsaw as a speed puzzle.  I've not posted my times here for a while now and I may or may not try to catch up with all the puzzles I've done in the last few months, but I can tell you that I did Chinese Zodiac in 53:45, which is my current best time for a 500 piece puzzle on the first attempt.  But having said that, it was a very simple design that would be easy to do quickly.  I still haven't managed to do a Ravensburger 500 under an hour on the first attempt.  

Speaking of jigsaws, it's National Puzzle Day today so naturally I've spent far too money on Amazon on new puzzles.  And a roll up foam mat which I'm hoping will be better quality than the thin fabric mats I've tried before.  It's big enough for 3000 pieces so I'm going to attempt the Star Trek TNG puzzle I've had my eye on for a while.
