It's All a Blur
Jan. 24th, 2025 07:03 pmI had my eyes tested again a couple of days ago and apparently my astigmatism has changed. At first I was under the impression that it hadn't changed enough to warrant new glasses, but then the guy the optician handed me off to started talking about doing just that. I asked if it was necessary and he said having the wrong prescription can cause problems so I went for it but I'm still a bit worried that he was just trying to make a sale and I don't really need new ones. Still, it's done now and eyes are important so I should make sure I have the best glasses I can.
I wanted to keep my frames so I left them with him to have the new lenses put in. He said it would take about a week and I'm already missing my glasses so much! I don't think I really realised how much I used them until I didn't have them. Everything's annoyingly fuzzy and I've had a low level headache for a while now.
I'm also worried that I got the eye test wrong somehow and I'll end up with new glasses that are actually worse than the previous ones. I'm not sure how you fail an eye test but my anxiety is already coming up with many possibilities.
