Ok, so the title isn't as fun and alliterative as St Albans Saturday but I wanted to continue the theme started last week.  Yes, in a strange turn of events I went out and met up with friends two weekends in a row!  Funny how I can go literal months without doing anything social and then it all happens at once!

Also funny is that that wasn't the only thing I did on Saturday.  I also went to the village church Jigsaw Puzzle Festival and stocked up on a few puzzles:

Not bad for £30.  I wish there had been more Ravensburgers there since those are the ones I should really be practicing for the competition, but these look good too.

Which brings me to Saturday afternoon, when I dressed up in my spooky Run & Fly dress and Snag tights:

Please forgive the state of the floor.  Tormund is moulting like crazy and even with daily brushing (of Tormund) and vacuuming (of the floor) it still looks like that!

Emma and Jeff collected me on their way over and we randomly met up with Ben in the car park, which worked out well!  We then went to hang out for a while in the castle gardens while waiting for Paul and Jennie.

We then wandered Guildford for a while and had Knoops.  I went for the Autumn Hot Chocolate, which was nice but not really worth the price.  I also had a look in some shops for more jigsaws because apparently I have a problem.   I didn't end up buying any in the end.  Or indeed any of the Lego I saw, but I did bond with Ben over all the unbuilt Lego sets we both have in our relative houses!

He did seem very confused about the concept of speed puzzling and the existence of the World Jigsaw Puzzle Championships though.

We went to Bill's for dinner, where I enjoyed a Raspberry Gin Spritz:

Very nice!  We opted for starters and I had the Burrata, Red Pepper & Basil:

It was a bit bigger than I was expecting, so I ended up only eating half of my main:

Halloumi Burger!  It was very nice, even if I couldn't finish it.  There were vague murmurings of dessert and I was trying to work out if I could fit in something light, but it took a while for our mains to be cleared and by then people were ready to leave.  Which is a testament to how old we are since it was only just gone 7!  And while normally I'd have been the biggest voice saying we should stay and have a bit more, this time I wanted to get home early cos Rob had come for a visit. (Even more goings on in one day!)

On the walk back to the cars we passed the Guildford House Museum and I loved their window display so much I had to take a picture of it:

The moon was also huge and impressive in the night sky and I really enjoyed seeing it and Guildford all lit up in the evening.  All in all it was a lovely day and I'm really glad I got the chance to go and spend time with my friends again.
