crystalcazzieI didn't get a chance to come online and make a post on my actual birthday cos I was doing birthday things, so I'm going to post about it now...
First things first, presents!
Almost all of these were from Mum. The card on the left was from Emma. She knows me so well!
Most of the day was spent playing various games including Lego Harry Potter, the Downton Abbey board game (which was a bit disappointing. I wonder if we can tweak the rules a bit to make it more interesting), Marrying Mr Darcy, and a Create Your Own Jane Austen Adventure book.
While we were playing the post arrived, bringing with it a card from Denise and a parcel from Sonja:
There was also cake, of course...
It's madeira with cookie dough inside. Very nice!
And, being me, there had to be fizz:
Very nice champagne too. And, in case you're wondering, the 'Cake for Breakfast' card was from Denise.

So it was a very nice day. And the only thing left to do is post my Epic Poem of Birthday Brilliance:
