Good to See You, September!

I missed making my traditional Hello, September post at the beginning of the month, so I have come here to rectify this terrible oversight!  

I've already made a start on the seasonal coffees.  I went into town a couple of days ago and had a Salted Maple and Caramel Latte.  I also had a Golden Caramel Latte Macchiato at Costa last week.  Apparently that was a special flavour brought out for the Olympics, so I'm glad I tried it when I did:

Strictly is back next weekend.  I wish it was tomorrow cos that would have been a lovely birthday present, but I suppose I can't have everything!  But what I do have is a cut of chateaubriand to cook for my birthday dinner.  I just hope I don't mess it up cos it really is a lovely steak!  

I changed my bedding earlier and now have the pretty autumnal duvet cover on.  Also, I've changed my LJ theme so the spring elephants are now autumn elephants!  

In non-seasonal news, the plumber came yesterday and replaced our toilet cos it had a crack in the bowl.  It's a different size to the previous one and now you can see the horrible, dirty wall behind it where the wallpaper was cut away to fit the old one.  I'm thinking about getting some of those tile stickers to put there and make it look a bit nicer.  

It rained buckets yesterday and today, which I hated cos it stresses me out so much.  There was a bit of water in the side passage earlier that looks like it came up from the drain.  I hope it was just a result of so much water in one go and not a blockage.  But it is something else that I'm going to worry about.    

Sorry, I didn't want to end this entry on a down note but I am feeling pretty low about it.  I really thought we'd have moved by now.
