Birthday Girl and Boy

It's Mum's birthday and Tormund's adoption day, so I thought I would decorate the house a bit:

I also bought Mum a selection of presents, which I could have just given to her like this:

But that's not how we roll.  So instead she was presented with this:

This was very loosely based on The Wheel, in that she had a choice of questions and each one had four answers.  It's less based on The Wheel in that I couldn't also provide a giant spinning wheel of celebrities to help her out, so she was left to answer them on her own.  

Presents included jigsaws, chocolates and a couple of games.  One of which was Marrying Mr Darcy, a card game that I'd heard good things about.  We played it four times and it was a lot of fun, although I was a bit put out that not only did I end up an Old Maid on every one of our first three games, I also lived a short, lonely, bitter life every time cos I rolled a one on my final die roll all three times.  That feels like more than a coincidence and makes me wonder if the game is out to get me!  And I only got married on the fourth game cos Mum discarded a very over-powered card that she really should have kept and I was able to take it instead.  

The plan is to play it again tomorrow and hopefully I'll do better next time!
