Back to the Future
Mar. 11th, 2024 07:21 pmI went up to London this weekend to see Back to the Future: The Musical. The tickets were a Christmas present from Rob and naturally I dragged Paul along cos he's my musical-loving friend! Rob also bought us the Luxury Experience package, which meant we had seats in the private bar and a bottle of champagne to share between us. It was absolutely lovely and has ruined us for any future musicals where we don't spring for such treatment!
The show itself was so good, too. It's not one I would have thought to go to so I'm really glad Rob got us the tickets. It was so much fun and I had a great time. It had loads of original content with the songs and breaking the fourth wall. It deviated from the film in a few places but was mostly a faithful adaptation. The guy playing Doc Brown was clearly having a brilliant time, and the guy playing Goldie Wilson did a fantastic job and got the biggest cheer of the night.
I came home yesterday feeling completely worn out so there was no chance of staying up to watch the Oscars live. But I watched them when I got up and made notes so I can Not-Quite-Liveblog it tomorrow when I have more energy to type it all up!
