Well into Advent
Dec. 11th, 2023 07:15 pmWe're a week and a half into December and I haven't posted about our Advent Calendars yet. This is a shocking oversight that must be rectified immediately...

This year we have a Cadbury's each, a Lindt each, a cheese one, a Laithwaites red wine one, a Science Museum lunar eclipse one, an Escape Hunt one, the one I've made up for Mum, and a Scrumbles one for Tormund. I think he likes his as he always gets very excited whenever we start opening ours!
I've also got nice new Christmas bedding:

It's so soft and fluffy!
I've put various decorations up around the house, including lights in the windows and the tree in the living room. I'm planning to add the train to go around the tree too and once I've done that I'll take pictures.
I walked into town at the weekend to go to the Christmas market. I went in on Saturday cos I got the day wrong, but I used the opportunity to buy some things from Elphicks. Then I went in on Sunday when the market was actually there. I enjoyed a mulled wine as I wandered around in the rain. I bought a few presents for people as well as a highland cow decoration for the tree and a Chocolate and Guinness cake which is absolutely delicious.
We've also been remarkably organised and have booked a Christmas delivery slot for our food. It's the Wednesday before because everyone else is more organised that we are and that was all that was left other than Christmas Eve, which would be cutting it far too close. The good thing about getting it almost a week in advance is that I have to chance to go out and buy anything that doesn't turn up or we suddenly remember we need. The only issue might be things going out of date, but I'm sure we'll work it out.
