Who Review
Nov. 26th, 2023 07:04 pmSome spoilers under the cut:
I must admit I was a bit worried when the episode started with mopey David Tennant, but overall I really enjoyed it. I loved Donna and her family and was glad that they were the main focus for a lot of the episode. As soon as I saw the Meep I thought this thing is too cute, it's definitely going to be evil. So that wasn't a surprise. I thought the resolution of the attack on London was a bit lazy (why would reversing the device reverse all the damage it did?) but I did like the explanation that Donna was able to survive the Metacrisis because she had passed part of it to Rose.Even though suddenly being able to just "let it go" also felt a bit lazy...
I'm cautiously optimistic about the next two specials. Although I would have preferred the whole family to have joined the Doctor in the Tardis!
