Birthday Birthday

crystalcazzieTwo years ago today we brought Tormund home from Battersea and *redacted* years ago today my mother was born. So today is a double birthday celebration!
As usual I made Mum work for her presents, this time by solving an Only Connect-style Connecting Wall:
It didn't take her long. But I was pleased that a few of the red herrings did trip her up a couple of times and I didn't make it too easy for her!
Rob sent lovely flowers:
Mum and I spent most of the day doing jigsaws and watching The Traitors Australia, which was just as entertaining as the UK and US versions. We're currently drinking prosecco, and I'm making risotto for dinner (as per the birthday girl's request.)
In other news, we're doing family sweepstakes for the Women's World Cup this year. I used a random system to choose the teams yesterday and we all have at least one team with a decent chance of winning. Mum has England, so she also has national pride on her side.
And finally, I've just realised that I never finished posting my photos from my trip to Italy. I was so sure I'd done so, but apparently not. I'm a bit worried that I won't remember a lot of it now, but I'll try my best to get the rest up soon!
