Festive Fun
Dec. 20th, 2022 05:59 pmIn the spirit of being Christmassy I made gingerbread a few days ago while watching The Santa Clauses. It was a pretty good series, fun and silly and just what you'd expect from something like that. It wasn't perfect but I enjoyed it. Although I do now want to rewatch the films as well and I'm not sure I'm going to have time for that!
As always seems to happen, I haven't watched as much festive stuff as I want to, but I have managed to fit some in. I watched 'Twas the Night Before Mxymas, which is one of my favourite episodes of Lois and Clark, and I'm currently watching A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong, which is very amusing. I also caught the end of Miracle on 34th Street (1994) just over a week ago, on the same day that Rob and I went to the Christmas market where I tried various alcoholic drinks and it even snowed a bit! Very festive!
And while it's not Christmassy I of course watched the final at the weekend. And by final I mean the final of Strictly Come Dancing, obviously. I'm glad that Hamza won cos I've been supporting him since the beginning, and Jowita was brilliant too. I look forward to seeing what she does next year.
In other news, I have signed up for Spotify. I was jealous of all the people posting their Spotify Wrapped and decided that I want to be one of them next year. So I'll have to make sure to use it properly between now and next December to get a good variety of songs on there. If they did a Wrapped on me right now it would just be a load of Christmas music!
Weather-wise it's definitely warmed up a bit. It was a whole 12 degrees here yesterday, which felt positively tropical after so many days of sub-zero temperatures! Of course they did make for a very pretty winter wonderland when I took Tormund for his walks:

Lots of photos there cos I froze my hands taking them, so you better believe I'm going to share them!
Also, cos I like taking photos, here's my gingerbread process:

And finally, have a picture of Tormund looking very regal:
