crystalcazzieIt's funny how I can go for months and months without seeing my friends or doing anything social and then suddenly I have three outings in one week. Yes, I was back in Guildford on Saturday, this time for Nikki's birthday drinks in the afternoon. I went up a bit earlier so I could wander around town and reacquaint myself with the place (The HMV still exists but is in a different shop unit. It's not right!) before heading to the pub. My anxiety almost got the better of me a couple of times, but I pushed through and I'm glad I did cos I enjoyed myself in the end.
I had to get back home in plenty of time, of course, because that Saturday was also Eurovision. One of the greatest nights of the year and the pinnacle of musical achievement. And, yes, Ukraine were always going to win it but I don't mind. It was still fun to watch, and Ukraine's song was a solid Eurovision bop with all the ingredients that make a winner.
Of course, my personal winners were Norway with this fantastic entry:
Are they Ylvis? Is one of them Ben from A1? Who knows. I just know you should give that wolf a banana.
