I Hate Driving

Second lesson:

I drove from Farnham to Haslemere to Elstead and back to Farnham.

I stalled four times.

I drove up onto the curb three times.

I didn't fully change gear two times.

And someone beeped their horn at me one time.

Can I hide now?

Driving is the devil. I can't even imagine how awful it would be in a manual transmission. I've only ever driven automatics.

Bad story to make you feel better --> Once when I tried to set the parking break I grabbed my driving instructor's upper thigh instead. Talk about wanting to die.

I keep wishing I was in an automatic. But I suppose I've got to at least learn on a manual.

Ooh, that must have been embarrassing! Because the car I'm in is quite small I keep brushing my hand against my instructors legs when I change gear. And hot weather = him in shorts. Not fun.
