I had my first driving lesson today.

I stalled three times.

But I can do the pull/push steering in order to turn, which my instructor says is one of the hardest parts about learning to drive.

As explained below, it is the proper way to steer that nobody actually does. You pull down one side, then push up the other.

driving is fun, isn't it! stalling can be embarassing but youll start to do it less frequently soon. one piece of advice, if in doubt,always check your mirrors. in any situation. you get brownie points for that:)

push pull steering is just the proper method for steering where u always keep your left hand on the left side of the steering wheel and your right hand on the right.

Well done! And don't worry about the pull/push steering, noone, but NOONE actually uses that in real life. Just memorise it for the test and use Laurie's Patented Steering Technique afterwards - one thumb on the bottom of the steering wheel.
