Yeah, this came about cos I was thinking about the 'Rory gets sent back in time and Amy joins him' theory and how I hoped that if it did go down like that the Doctor would tell her parents what had happened. (I did feel bad for not including Rory's parents, but we haven't seen anything about them on the show.)
I probably won't write a sequel, but in my head I do see River going back and telling them who she is. I thought about including it in the story but it didn't really fit. And now I'm wondering if River did tell them about herself would she include the fact that she was Mels, who the elder Ponds probably knew quite well, so just leave that bit out? Hmm.
