Tree Time!

I think I may have been converted to the artificial Christmas tree. As much as I miss the smell of a real one, I do love being able to put it up three weeks before Christmas and not worry about it losing all its needles by the time the big day rolls around.
It's not as big as our real trees usually are, which means I can't fit all my decorations on it, but I've got a good amount on, including the new ones from Hastings & Rye and my festive weekend:
In other news, my house continues in its ongoing quest to destroy both me and itself. This time by springing a leak in the bathroom and soaking the carpet. Of course carpet in the bathroom is disgusting and I've wanted to change it for ages, so maybe this is the impetus to finally get that done. Fortunately we were able to get an emergency plumber later the same day and it was a pretty simple fix for him to replace the pipe. I think it was probably caused by the higher pressure of water in the bathroom now. When we had the old boiler, the water in the bathroom came from a tank in the loft. With the new boiler we no longer have that tank, so the water must come directly from the mains supply. I just hope this doesn't mean it's going to happen again with other pipes.
