And now, my annual Oscars Dress Report:
Ones I Liked
Billy Porter

This dress has to be one of the most fabulous things I've ever seen.
~*~
Constance Wu

I nearly put this into Not Sure cos it's a bit flimsy, but she makes it look so good.
~*~
Helen Mirren

Looking lovely in pink.
~*~
Laura Dern

I wasn't sure about this when I first saw her, but I actually really like it.
~*~
Leticia Wright

This could have been boring, but I love the pattern and the way it fits her.
~*~
Laura Harrier

I wasn't sure about this at first, but it's really pretty and I like it.
~*~
Marina de Travira

I wish the top was a bit more substantial cos it feels slightly unbalanced, but that's very picky and it's a lovely dress otherwise.
~*~
Michelle Yeoh

Such a pretty dress.
~*~
Octavia Spencer

I can always rely on Octavia to look gorgeous and this year is no exception.
~*~
Tiny Fey

Simple and elegant. I like it.
~*~
Yalitza Aparicio

I always love a good princess dress and she looks beautiful in this one.
~*~
Ones I'm Not Sure About
Amy Adams

It's not terrible, but it's not great either.
~*~
Brie Larson

The metallic look is hard to pull off, and the shape is a bit boring.
~*~
Charlize Theron

Meh.
~*~
Danai Gurira

I quite like it, but it does almost look like she's wrapped a quilt around herself and tied it at the waist.
~*~
Emilia Clarke

I really don't like the top and this very nearly went into the Don't Like section, but she just about manages to pull it off.
~*~
Emma Stone

I want to take a little tiny hammer and break this dress apart cos it looks like a slab of toffee brittle.
~*~
Jennifer Hudson

I can't love this dress, but the giant frill isn't as bad as it could have been.
~*~
Lady Gaga

This could be so good if only it didn't have those weird hips.
~*~
Regina King

I mean, it's not bad, but I feel like when you're an Oscar nominee you should do more than wrap a sheet around yourself.
~*~
Tessa Thompson

I kinda liked this when I just saw the top, then I hated it when I saw the whole thing. Then I thought that maybe it's not quite that bad.
~*~
Ones I Didn't Like
Allison Janney

It's a lop-sided apron over a velvet tube and I do not approve.
~*~
Amandla Stenberg

I'm pretty sure my grandmother had a lamp that looked like this.
~*~
Angela Bassett

Apparently the giant shoulder bow is trendy now. I hate it.
~*~
Gemma Chan

I know the Oscars go on late but that's no excuse to come wrapped in your duvet.
~*~
Glenn Close

Or your curtains.
~*~
Kacey Musgraves

I call this the Pink Monstrosity.
~*~
Linda Cardellini

I mean, is this even a dress? Is she competing with Kacey Musgraves for the Pink Monstrosity title?
~*~
Maya Rudolph

I don't think this woman should be allowed to dress herself any more.
~*~
Melissa McCarthy

So boring. So bad.
~*~
Olivia Colman

It's so drab and weird.
~*~
Queen Latifah

Bin bags are not Oscar dresses.
~*~
Rachel Weisz

What even is this? She's just missing Lady Gaga's weird red gloves from 2015.
~*~
Sarah Paulson

I didn't think this was too terrible until I saw the middle.
~*~
And finally my
Not a Dress

Has to go to Richard E Grant. Partly for his funky red jacket and partly for his infectious joy and enthusiasm for this whole thing.
